On January 6th 2012 the staff of Pope
John XXIII Higher Secondary and the students of Std. XI participated in motivational training workshops conducted by Dr. Allan Abreu and Ms. Karuna
Satardekar of GVM’s College of Education, Ponda.
Dr. Allan Abreu, who currently holds the post of
officiating Principal of GVM’s College, conducted lively sessions on The Seven
Habits for Highly Effective Teachers.
His vitality and vigour were highly contagious. Accomplished musician
that he is, action songs played a vital role in his presentations.
Through power point presentations, group
activities and examples from the lives of great personages, Ms. Karuna
Satardekar made the students of Std. XI realize the importance of time
management and taught them practical ways of motivating themselves to achieve
greater heights.
The Vote of Thanks was proposed by our Teacher
Coordinator, Ms. Sharmila Da Costa, and one of our students, Ms. Elodie Goes.
